Divestorm’s latest EP ‘Afterstellar’ is dark ominous dance heavy melodic house.

The title track opens the EP with deep rumbling bass and space age synths and keys. Booming percussion and driving kick drums keep the pace going while the bass sends shock waves to the listener.

The second track is ‘Voyager’ another distant communication with terrestrial ears, an otherworldly interaction.

Closing the EP, ‘Sions’ begins with echoing percussion and snares with heavy reverb that dissipate into the vast vacuum of space that embodies this tune. The feeling of nothingness and endlessness are apparent with the sparse open percussion and floating synths, another intergalactic sound wave traversing deep space to connect with the listener.

‘Afterstellar’ perfectly places the listener into sonic science fiction, a place in between abstraction and the unseen. Divestorm’s greatest asset is the strong effect his music has on the other senses and the mind, each track conjures up strong visuals, ‘Afterstellar’ seems to be the middle man to some not-so-far-off dimension.
