DHB’s latest release “Distant Memories” is the first full release by Klaudius who already contributed to DHB’s “2021 Melodic Summer” with his track Horizon.

Distant Memories is an expansive Progressive House track that acts as a stimulant to the synesthesia of the listener. Evoking imagery with each sound and further formations with each turn the track tackles Klaudius crafts a world that is alive and evolving. Intricate robotic keys oscillate above thunderous synthetic bass, ever-present kicks, and echoing pads. Each phase of “Distant Memories” has the listener embarking on a mental journey. Pulsating kicks conclude the ride as it echos out of existence.

The various remixes of “Distant Memories” are like vaguely familiar clone memories. The NICKO///// remix has similarities that blend with tribal percussion, atmospheric piano chords, and ambient vocals that chime in religiously in the distant background.

The Geuzz Endless Smile interpretation is equally enchanting.
Geuzz, who already released one very successful release on DHB called “Matu”, adds a flare and fire that is distinct. With synthesizers that ping up, down, and around the rhythm creating a new melody that is hypnotizing and intoxicating Geuzz enthralls the listener.

Klaudius’ “New Beginnings” is both mellow and driving. With cryptic percussion thumping syncopated with the steady kicks and with rapid-fire hi-hats blazing above alien synths that hold a melodic conversation amongst each other to drive the track. Eavesdropping in we can experience the beauty of their language, the echoes, pitch blends, and distortions all make for a dynamic dialect.

The Nico P remix is vast and massive as well. Haunting augmented synths reverberate in the background behind a nonstop driving synth line. The synths, keys, and pads all reach an oscillating climax in the middle of the track with the percussion removed before convalescing into an eruptive final phase with full percussive power returning.

Every track is equally imaginative and exciting and making for another mind-blowing DHB experience.
